Ginkgo Biloba trees in Kanal

Canal" is a landscaping term meaning "a long, narrow, straight waterway as one of the landscape improvement techniques. The 200-meter-long canal is flanked by five fountains of various sizes, and a total of 106 ginkgo trees are planted symmetrically in two rows on each side. These ginkgo trees were transplanted from those planted during the base era, and have grown into a magnificent green corridor over the years since the opening of the park. The yellow leaves are beautiful in the fall, making it one of the two main yellow leaf spots in Showa Kinen Park.
Best viewed from early November to mid-November

Ginkgo Biloba trees in Kataray

The Katarai ginkgo boulevard is approximately 300 m long, and although it is a straight boulevard, the difference in elevation of the ground makes for a dynamic view with great depth. Unlike the ginkgo trees in Canard, which are restricted by air traffic regulations, the ginkgo trees are characterized by their natural shape. Especially in November, when the yellow leaves are at their peak, a golden tunnel appears, making it the most popular spot of the season.

Japanese Garden: maple trees

The garden is a pond garden with a circular path around the pond, and from mid to late November, the leaves turn beautifully red. In the fall, visitors can enjoy the natural scenery of waterfalls, streams, beaches, and wooden bridges, in addition to the approximately 300 maple trees and pine snowdrops that change color as they walk around the pond.
Best viewing time: mid-November to late November

Komorebi-no-oka Maple Tree

Komorebi-no-oka is an area where a small artificially created hill has been restored as a Musashino wooded area. This area aims to create a place where people can interact with nature by restoring an environment where not only trees, but also plants and small animals on the forest floor can live.
Best viewing time: early to mid-December

Children's Forest: Metasequoia

The Children's Forest is full of mysterious playground equipment! The very popular giant trampoline "Sea of Clouds (Fluffy Dome)" and rainbow hammock are also available for small children, making this an area where children can have fun as well. In the fall, you can enjoy the various yellow and red leaves of the ginkgo, maple, metasequoia, and other trees. In autumn, ginkgo, maple, metasequoia, etc., visitors can enjoy a variety of yellow and red leaves.
